Computer Tips - Insert A Excel Spreadsheet Into PowerPoint 2007 or 2010

Ensure the spreadsheet is not too large so presentation will be clear on screen. 

  • In PowerPoint, display the slide where you want to insert the spreadsheet
  • Click Insert tab
  • In the Tables group, click Tables
  • In the drop down list, click Excel Spreadsheet
  • Enter data
  • Save your data at regular intervals

Computer Tips - Excel: Renaming A Worksheet

Excel allows you to create many worksheets in a single document. Rename as follows:

  • Right Click worksheet tab (default name display as ‘Sheet 1′ etc.)
  • Click Rename
  • Type new Tab Name
  • Press Enter on keyboard

  • Hold ALT on keyboard
  • Type 248 or 0176 on numeric keypad
  • Release ALT
  • This entry will remain a value which can be calculated
